Here are just some of the highlights from Glasgow's extensive costume collection, spanning the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. From shoes to dresses, coifs to sweetbags, embroidered waistcoats to dainty shoes, these masterpieces of design and colour will make you yearn for days gone by. Of international importance is a 17th-century sumptuous embroidered red silk petticoat believed to have belonged to Queen Anne of Denmark, and a group of falconry accessories used by James VI and I.
