Description
Wool tapestry showing two scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary, the Annunciation and the Nativity. The Annunciation, with the Archangel Gabriel, is set within a gothic pavilion. The Nativity is set in front of a stable, with an ox and ass in the background. At the top right of the tapestry an angel appears to the shepherds watching their sheep. Part of the Burrell Collection.
