Description
Tapestry depicting Sibylla Hellespontica and Sibylla Phrygia, one of set of six Sibyls (46.134 to 45.139) from the series 'Fountains with Sibyls and Prophets'. It shows Sibylla Hellespontica, who predicted the Crucifixion, holding a large cross, facing Sibylla Phrygia, prophesier of the Resurrection, who holds a taller, narrower cross with a fluttering banner. Part of the Burrell Collection.
