Description
A wool tapestry hanging from the Chastleton House set, depicting the birth of Pharez and Zarah from the biblical story of Judah and Tamar in Genesis chapter 38. The central domestic scene is of a woman giving birth, surrounded by floral decorations. This was the final tapestry in a set of four. Part of the Burrell Collection.
