Description
Wool tapestry panel depicting Judith with the head of Holofernes and her maid. It shows Judith carrying the gorily bloodied head of the Assyrian invader, Holofernes, her sword held high in triumph. The ladies’ path is filled with flowering bushes and follows a meandering river in which swans swim tranquilly. Part of the Burrell Collection.
