Description
The repeating pattern on this tapestry fragment consists of interlaced lozenges containing pairs of parrot-like birds on a blue ground, alternating with others containing single monster-like animals against a green ground. The smaller spaces between the lozenges contain a leafy rosette or groups of ivy-like leaves on a red ground. Part of the Burrell Collection.
