Description
Wool tapestry fragment showing the head and shoulders of a man wearing a striking red hood and low-brimmed hat. The dark blue arrangement in front of him is almost certainly the top of a second man’s chaperon hat, with the cornette twisted up above and around his head. This piece is a composite of medieval and modern weaving. Part of the Burrell Collection.
